This page explains in plain words what we do with your data when you visit Karta or place an order.
1. Who we are
Karta is an online shop for digital gift cards, based in Monastir, Tunisia. Karta decides how your data is used.
For any question about your data, email us at alabaganne9@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp.
2. What data we collect
When you order: your full name, email, phone number and the order details (card, amount, payment method, reference). If you send us a payment proof, we also keep the screenshot and the number you paid with.
When you leave a review: your name, email, rating and comment. The name, rating and comment are shown on the site; the email never is.
When you visit the site: your IP address, your browser type and details about the ad that brought you, like utm tags and the Facebook click ID.
We also use a few cookies, described below.
3. Why we use it
To handle your order and send you your code.
To contact you about your order, for example to confirm a payment by phone.
To prevent fraud and abuse.
To measure our Facebook and Instagram ads, only if you accept cookies.
4. Cookies
karta_consent keeps your cookie choice.
karta_attr keeps, for 90 days, which ad brought you to the site, so we can link an order to a campaign.
Only if you accept: karta_uid, which recognizes your browser from one visit to the next, and the Meta Pixel cookies _fbp and _fbc, which help us measure our ads.
If you say no, you can still order.
5. Who receives your data
Our server host, which runs the site and stores order data.
Resend, the service that sends our emails, including the one with your code.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only if you accept cookies. In that case, your email and phone are sent hashed, meaning scrambled, never as plain text.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as needed to handle the order, answer your questions and meet our legal and accounting duties. After that, it is deleted.
7. Your rights
Under Tunisian law 2004-63 on the protection of personal data, you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it or object to its use.
If you are in the European Union, you also have your rights under the GDPR.
To do this, email us at alabaganne9@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. You can also file a complaint with the INPDP, the Tunisian data protection authority.
8. Changes to this page
We may update this page, for example if we add a new service. The date of the last update is shown on this page.
