Claude Pro in Tunisia: how to pay for the plan in dinars

Yes, you can get Claude Pro in Tunisia without an international bank card. The simplest way is an Anthropic gift code: you pay for it in dinars on Karta, get it by email and redeem it yourself on claude.ai. Here are the plans, their prices, how it works and what to know before you order.

What is Claude?

Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant. You write to it as you would to a person: it writes, summarizes, translates, explains a lesson, analyzes a document or helps you write code.

Tunisia is one of the countries where Claude is available. You can create an account and try it for free, with usage limits. Paid plans give you more usage.

Which plans are there?

At the time of writing, Karta sells three Claude plans:

• Pro: $20 a month.
• Max 5x: $100 a month, with 5 times Pro usage.
• Max 20x: $200 a month, with 20 times Pro usage.

Prices change: check them on Claude's site before you choose.

In dinars, the price of each plan is shown on the Claude page before you order. To give an idea, at the time of writing, a month of Pro costs about 80 DT.

Claude Pro or Max: which one should you pick?

Pro, for regular use

Pro suits most people: students, freelancers and professionals who use Claude every day to write, summarize, analyze or code.

Max, for heavy use

Max is for people who often hit the Pro limits, for example developers who work with Claude all day. You keep the same account, with much more usage. Max 20x is made for very heavy users.

A tip: start with one month of Pro. If you keep hitting the limits, move up to Max.

Why is paying for Claude from Tunisia so hard?

To subscribe on claude.ai, you need a bank card that works abroad. In Tunisia, the dinar isn't convertible, and international cards have limits and aren't always easy to get. Many people don't have one, or would rather keep their limit for something else.

How does it work with Karta?

Karta sells a real Anthropic gift code. There is no virtual card to make: you enter the code on Claude's site, and the plan starts on your account, new or existing.

1. On the Claude page, pick the plan and the length, then fill in the order.
2. Pay in dinars, by transfer from any Tunisian bank, or in cash, in person in Monastir.
3. A person checks your payment, then the code arrives by email.
4. Open claude.ai/gift/redeem in your browser.
5. Sign in to your Claude account, or create one.
6. Enter the code and confirm.

You do everything yourself, on your own account. No bank card is needed to redeem the code.

Which length should you pick?

Each plan comes for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.

• 1 month: to try it, or for a short need like a thesis or a project.
• 3 or 6 months: if you already use Claude every week.
• 12 months: if Claude is part of your work. For Pro, the 12-month code is worth $200, less than twelve months taken one by one.

Two gifts can't be stacked. So for a long stretch, take the right length from the start rather than several one-month codes.

What to know before you order

We'd rather be clear about the limits.

• The code has an expiry date. It is valid for 365 days after it was bought from Anthropic. Redeem it without waiting.
• The code covers the length you picked, nothing more. To keep the plan after that, order a new code.
• Already have a paid plan on the web? The gift extends or changes your plan.
• Paying for Claude through the App Store or Google Play? Wait until that subscription ends before you redeem the code.
• The price in dinars also counts our service. It is shown before you order: compare it with what your own card would cost you, if you have one.

Does Claude work in Tunisia?

Yes, Tunisia is one of the countries where Claude is available. The code works on any Claude account, including in Tunisia.

Do I have to give my password?

No, never. You get a code and redeem it yourself on claude.ai.

Do I need a bank account?

No. You can pay in cash, in person in Monastir. If you have an account at any Tunisian bank, a transfer works too.

How long until I get the code?
